It has stock internals except for head studs and a 2mm head gasket that puts the compression to 8:0.1. Since school started again the only time I have to work on it on the weekend so progress is slow. Since the thing does have stock internals so its only as fast as the breaking point of the motor (which is not much on a DX). So until I build it, its just a nice noise maker.

It does have a wierd sound with the 2 turbos spooling on a honda. I haven't taken it to full boost yet, I did get it to 4.4psi(digital peak and hold gauge) on a 3rd gear pull at 3800 to 4,000rpm without the N20. It melted all 4 plugs so that ended testing. But it does spool and doesn't have really too much lag. Having two smaller housing is alot better than having one big one apparently becuase it does spool nicely.

I get told all the time that its going to blow up becuase its twin turbo with nitrous but it shows how little they know becuase even though there are 2 turbos its only going to run 8 pounds stock. The thing with only gernade if I put it to 30psi. I took out the activation switch for the nitrous becuase I don't trust myself until its built.

I didn't want to dump too much money into this car becuase I was hoping to sell it and make some money. I figure nobody's going to pay more than $6500 for a 1990 Civic STD so If I put alot more than $6500 I'm not even going to break even. So right now I'm debating if I want to dish out the money and get a 500gph fuel pump, fuel cell and SS -10AN lines so when I build it I'll have the fuel to feed the motor and the nitrous.

How much do you think I could (realistically) sell the car for with the built motor, nitrous (two bottles), and twin turbo kit. With the body in good shape and its got coil-overs and 16 inch ALT wheels.

I'd be interested to hear any offers on just the kit too....

Yeah you sure need some more fuel...4 melted plugs hmmmmmm too much heat running to lean man..2 turbo's that means more CFM's more air more O2..so you need more fuel.

In all honestly you'd probably make a hell of a lot more money selling that kit by itself, then the nitrous kit by itself, the engine (after build), and then just tossing another stock engine back in the car....heavily modded cars are really hard to sell....that is unless they've been in a movie or something

oh yeah, I posted the pics on honda-tech so the wait is over

stackz: Yeah your right it probably is worth more to part it out. I was just wondering a ballpark figure I could get for the kit.

Semnos: I know it needs fuel, thats what I said I was working on now, I'm not new to this game so it doesn't help anybody when you say, "a turbo puts more air into the motor so you need fuel." It was the very first run and I didn't have the right plugs in it, I was just answering the question on how it drives

omg, lol...the sky's probably the limit for THAT setup

why don't you just do up an ebay auction for it and set some ungodly reserve price on it like say $20,000.00 (so you don't have to pay any fees for it when it doesn't sell). That'll give you a good idea of about what the kit is worth. You can use the pictures you posted in this thread to be honest...they say it all...along with some instructions you could write up on how it all goes together...that will double the price because most people would just scratch their heads otherwise.

I think I might do that...with a reasonable reserve becuase like anything if the price is right I'll sell it

I also seen your post on Honda-tech...now I have to set up an account so I can defend myself

yeah, I'm trying to stick up for you but it's a losing battle man...by the way, I absolutely luv it...

once I can get a garage of my own (stupid apartment complex) I fully intend to bring my tools and welders from back home so I can play...I want to start on a 92-96 prelude in the near future now that I've sold my turbo civic...bills bills bills...sigh...

Everyone on Honda-Tech is an ignorant moron. Thats such a shame that people wanna give you a hard time for trying something different. HMT is just so much better because someone isn't going to get hell for experimenting and trying something DIFFERENT. I can't wait to run it becuase you can argue against a timeslip.
