I dont think I have a leak, when i was skimming over spring rates i missed the "SMALL red spring" which could be what i have. I just assumed i had the big spring and skimming over the list my eyes didnt see small red spring.

If thats the case my spring is rated 5.8 PSI which is perfect because by the time it gets through i would see 5psi anyway going to the engine.

Only thing is my boost controller is still 1psi off lol. Just need to make a manual boost controller and get this show on the road!

look, you do not hook up any vacuum line to the wastegate! here is how it goes period i have done three setups and everyone worked perfectly!

from the nipple on the turbo outlet, run a pressure line to the bottom nipple of the wastegate, in the middle of that same line put a tee splice, and run a line from the tee to the bottom of your manual boost controller, then from the side nipple of the boost controller, go to the top nipple of your wastegate. then you simply adjust the wastegat to desired boost level and enjoy.

The boost controller limits the amount of air pushing the wastegate shut therefore allowing/controlling how much it opens.

the top nipple of the wastegate pushes it shut.

the side nipple of the wastegate pushes it open.

there are no lines coming from anywhere around the intake manifold to your turbo at all.

you should have on one end of you intake manifold a distribution block of nipple for vacuum lines, from there run your boost guage with it's own dedicated line. and also your bov should have a dedicated line to the intake manifold. make sure that they do not leak, i actually put a little bit of silicone on the nipple before i put the hose on then i put a small nylon strap on it and let it dry it seems to work very well. Also you should use a vacuum/boost guage, becuase if you have a leak in one of your lines you'll know. you should see around 22-26 of vacuum at warm idle, if you don't there is a leak somewhere.

I hope this helps.................

Ok almost done making the manual boost controller according to this article:

http://www.geocities.com/chmwatson/FAQs/mbc.html

just need to visit a friend to thread one part and then just hook it up.

The way I plan to do it actually AccordX2Boost is to just leave the side port of the wastegate to IM and its shown in the picture at the bottom of the article. T off BoV vacuum hook up side MBC port to that T and the middle part to the top port of Wastegate

why dont you just t into the wg line coming from the side wg nipple to the i/m? seems to me that would be the easiest way, no reason to really use the top nipple on the wg unless you have an ebc

your setup will not work, good luck with your engine, you can plan to do it any way you like, but the correct way?...well your an idiot. does anybody else agree with me? i take my time to help someone and they tell me they are going to hook it up wrong anyway? to each his own.............

someone correct me if i'm wrong, but the reason for using the nipple on the turbo housing is to use the least amount of pressure line possible. the more hose there is the more it expands and makes everything react a little slower. and inconsitantly. this graph is from tial and show the CORRECT way to install the wastegate lines. Also note that it says to hook the line to the intake manifold "before the throttle plate", which translate to charge pipe. the wastegate was not intended to ever see vacuum, only boost.
