We put a slim fan and fixed some things up, feels a lot better just need to tune and see how that goes. Id like a dumptube but just gimme some time =P

Ok so a few things have been changed so far. We did BoV vacuum line to brake booster but i dont think it matters, we also found a better line for the wastegate, instead of straight to turbo it goes to the Intake Manifold now, I tightened the extension vacuum line for the Boost Gauge so I could get a more accurate reading and now it reads about 4 psi (laptop reads between 4-5psi)

We put a dumptube on which isnt really relevant but anyway I dont understand why im not boosting 8 psi, i mean i can hear the wastegate open but shouldnt it open only after it detects 8 psi? And since its detecting something to open its straight from the intake manifold so it should be the boost going to the engine? Maybe im wrong, someone please explain the whole wastegate reading when to open?

i think you should check out the diaphram and spring on the wastegate or try another one. Aswell, since you have the wastegate vaccume line hooked striaght to IM, during WOT there is pos vaccume, pushing the diaphram up. if you think about it, your boost gauge vac source if from IM and reads boost, so if you have your wastegate vac straight to IM, it should be seeing 2lbs on the diaphram aswell during WOT or in boost... right? So if you factor the 2lbs ur getting from the vac source, then it would only take 5-6lbs of exhaust to push that wastegate to open, and thats what crome was reading correct? If you correctly hooked up your wastegate vac line b4 the throttle body, during boost there would then be neg vaccume, and the diaphram should not see any pressure pushing up but pullng from the neg vac. So since its not holding, and opens b4 8lbs, it has to be your wastegate spring, vacc setup, diphram, or sumthing in the sense that your wastegate is not properly working considering the fact that you've double and tripled checked any leaks that would cause you to loose boost ie (exhaust to turbo and all ic piping).

so remember correct wastegate vaccume source should come b4 the throttle body!

aswell you may want to try it w/o a vacc source and see if you get above what ur boost gauge is reading

About when I hit 5 psi, around early to mid 3k rpm's.

About the post about the wastegate, first of all thanks for taking so much time to explain it and even show me a picture with notes. Hard to navigate around but i kinda get what youre saying.

I was also thinking what if i took the vacuum line off then i could see if it would go any higher then I could know if its a leak because it would go higher than 5 psi anyway right?

Besides that I dont quite understand where "before" and "after" the throttle body would be. Its not okay to hook it up anywhere on the Intake Manifold? Hooked up to turbo/ intake manifold has had the same results. Tops out at 5 psi.

As an important sidenote today I took hours fixing some wiring in my car and hooking up my wideband and launching crome and datalogging to see how it is and looking through the datalog I see that it topped out in one section at exactly 5.0 psi and climbed back down. That is doesnt even go .1 above 5 psi makes me wonder if its really a 8 lb spring or 5 lb spring. Im thinking about making one of those ghetto 5 dollar manual boost controllers or just buying something like a 10 psi spring and seeing what happens.

That sounds like a 5psi wastegate spring to me..make a simple manual boost controller and see! That will tell ya real quick.

or what you could do is hook up vac line from IM straight to the nipple located on top of the wastegate, which is the place ment for boost controllers. in this case it should put pressure against the wastegate valve not allowing it to open at 5lbs.
