IDK man. What did you hear was a headache? Either way, there is tuning involved and if you have a good tuner, it could make your mini-me run better. Any boost added regardless of from where... will require similar tuning. Go for the turbo and find a good tuner. Here is a brief list and lets see if it adds to six benny's.
14b or T25 turbo runs 8 psi: $70- 150 for a good one.
HF mani: $10- 50
Adapter plate: Free if you know how or $50 for a nice one on ebay.
DSM 450cc injectors and resistor box: $60- 110
Random pipes, intercooler, 1G BOV: $50- 150
Oil line kit: Stealthmode: $85
So, you are looking at $595 on the high, high! side for all major pieces.
so your real difference is:
4 psi for $600 (Jackson SC) (Taking power away to run)
8 psi + for $600 (Turbo) (and essentially free power)

Power to $$$$$ ratio is on the turbo.

putting a turbo on a mini me is no different from putting one on any honda engine. d series blocks dont give 2 ***** what head is on them. nothing changes.

superchargers are pretty useless. they have their place, but its not in budget setups
