BTW - thanks for deleting the other posts and doing my moderation duties for me.. so nice to have a personal admin-slave to watch over every move I make and do the dirty work that I would rather not be doing.. I think I'll go and look at **** instead!

why even bother w/ 2.5" after the intercooler? Isn't there a thing where your intake is restrictive as it's smallest spot...e.g. from the cone filter to the intake piping to the throttle body to the runners to the valve ports... like the smallest port is what the rest run at...
maybe it is different w/ boost... I'd suppose so it just takes longer for it fill up...
right?

2.5inch after the intercooler is popular becuase it matches the diameter of the throttle body. If your piecing a turbo kit together and you want it to be as efficient as possible this is what you want:
Charge pipes: 2 to 2.5 inch
Exhaust: As big as possible
turbo intake: as big and non restrictive as possible.
And yes things are different with boost. Since everything's pressurized you can get away with very little head work in the beginning stages and be able to put out good power. And that IHI your using will never max out any head or intake manifold.

i used 2.5 on my t25 set up, it seems pretty laggy from what others have told me, but 2" looks soo wussy, and I'm planning on upgrading my turbo to a 14b, so a least I have room to grow.
