I ran my h1c for over a year with no problems.
I put in a shitty oil line that was clogged and drove for a day with NO OIL in the turbo at all.
It was fine for a while after I fixed that.
Then it started to smoke at idle mostly. A bunch.
I recently put a adjustable restrictor in it and nearly have it totally closed and its been fine since then.

These turbos are pretty tough. Also keep in mind im running 20+ psi daily in it.

22-23 psi.

Feels like a stock TL beat me from light to light cuz I never stopped spinning lol.

Then the roll from 60 was just plain funny haha.

ive ran turbos that i could make it the blades contact the compressor housing with my fingers pushing like you were, but it spun fine when oiled if it makes you feel better. that does look a little excessive though

There's definitely no doubt that a turbo tightens up when it's hot and has oil in it. I remember one time I was taking apart a T04B and it had a bit of shaft play and spun hard but I hit it with the torch to get the hotside off and it tightened up and spun great. It's not really a question if it'll run because I've seen some janky *** turbos make boost, but if you don't want to swap turbos out every month you should get something within spec. Failures are downright brutal when the wheels contact the housing too. Shredded comp wheel and bent shaft=paperweight and that's best case scenerio. May as well get it remanned before you run it.

Watched the vid, and it is a bit much. Personally, I'd bolt it on and rock it.

I'm with leed I'd prolly still try it, i've ran some busted *** turbo's even some that could contact the housings when you pushed on the wheels but they spooled and made boost fine
