Thanx guys. I'm trying to save as much money as possible. Not just because I'm cheap, but anyone can go out spend 5 grand and have a 12 sec car. But the reason we're here is because we like to build our own kits cheap and spank those that spent way more and are proud of the 3000 for a kit and paid someone to put it on. "what turbo do you have? uh I dont know but it cost 3000!" I can be proud of a system I built for 500 and know all about it. Not to be mean/a jerk but an hf mainfold with a hunk of adapter plate hanging out and td05 turbo looks rednecked/ghetto but I/we like it. I love this site because its all about diy and making fast. Joseph Davis hows it going, long time no hear, what the lastest on ghettodyne 2.0(boooost baby) can't wait. Thanx guys.

That about sums it up.

JC is the way to go though. Map out your charge pipe routing in your head and order up the appropriate # of mandrel bends, get a section of straight pipe and go to work with a rental welder. For couplings, try a marine supply or diesel supply store and ask for turbo hose or wet exhaust hose. Its about $1-2$ an inch, not bad. <-----thats what she said....

Just do what makes you happy, its all functional in the end.

Yeah, PVC fumes are toxic. Goes right out the exhaust into the lungs of whoever's losing, right where it needs to be

Hop out of the car sometime and touch your PVC charge pipe. If you didn't use it withing a foot of the compressor discharge, it isn't even warm, much less 260+ degrees.

joseph exactly.

also the fumes will only come off as cholrine at way over 260. its when the plastic is burned.

usually pvc will turn to liquid at about 290.

well, still a risk, hit a pothole, the pvc jerks, hits the engine block... just spend the extra cash and don't buy pvc
