What the heck is the black box? Like exactly what is in it and what does it do/how does it work? If the pcv valve is pulled out and broken can the crankcase vent sufficently? Or does the black box need to be removed before it can freely breath out?

 

 

Yeah you will be fine. The only problem is when the PCV gets stuck

 

the black box is just a factory catch can. if you drilled a 1" hole into it and welded a fitting on there, ran a hose to a catch can, and did the same with your valve cover, you would have a cheap, effective setup
