i did the same thing had to use a easy out worked great. but engine didnt after the bearings went.good luck

easy out ftw!!! i broke mine when my stupid oil filter wouldnt come out. so i banged a screw driver through the filter. Guess where it hit on the other end?

hahaa, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem.

So, easy out is the way to go, good to know that this will make this a breeze.
Im going to pull the engine anyway since I need to put in my new clutch and to learn a thing or 2.

Now, I need to goto Sears and buy some more tools.
