slap a restrictor on there and see what happens

 

Id say the same thing, get a restrictor. and check your line connections/weld on pan

 

you need an oil restrictor

 

do you guys think 50psi of oil pressure at WOT is too high?? i thought that was perfect

 

I don't think it's too high, but with it being a new turbo and all I would call the maker to cover your *** in case you have to send it back.

My last turbo was shot so I put a restrictor on it, closed it all the way and let the excess oil burn out. When it was done smoking, I slowly opened the restrictor just a tad and the bitch lit up again like a chimney, but I'm sure your understanding how I did it.

 

i just bought an oil restrictor from stealthmode. i'm gonna restrict the oil a lil bit. so we'll see if it helps or not

 

ok, i just installed the stealthmode oil restrictor and i restricted 1/2 of the oil that is going to the turbo right now. and it is STILL leaking a lil bit outta the turbine side. i cut the drain line even shorter, so it's at more of an angle now. i have no clue what else to do. i tried to contact garrett about it, but i can't seem to find any info. to contact them. their website only has contacts of their distributors. suggestions please!! oh yeah, and the turbo actually stopped leaking oil for about 1 week, but i noticed it started to leak again a few days ago

it's not enough to make me lose oil tho. it's bearly leaking out of the turbo, but enough to start smoking
