Oil leaking out of turbo after only 1 week of install???

i've only been running this turbo for 1 week. it is a brand new garret turbo. today, i noticed that a small amount of oil is leaking out of the turbine side, then making its way down onto the turbo and eventually burning off there. now there is a rust spot at the bottom. i asked around, and people are telling me my drain line is fine. from the pix. the drain flange on the oil pan looks like it's pointed downwards, but it's just the way i took the pic. the oil line kit was from stealthmode. any opinions on what could be causing this? and are my seals blown for sure??? :-\

UPDATE 4/12: ok, i just installed the stealthmode oil restrictor and i restricted 1/2 of the oil that is going to the turbo right now. and it is STILL leaking a lil bit outta the turbine side. i cut the drain line even shorter, so it's at more of an angle now. i have no clue what else to do. i tried to contact garrett about it, but i can't seem to find any info. to contact them. their website only has contacts of their distributors. suggestions please!! oh yeah, and the turbo actually stopped leaking oil for about 1 week, but i noticed it started to leak again a few days ago

drain looks mint. i would suggest possibly cutting another 1/4-1/2 inch off the drain

Or a SSAuto Garrett?

I bet you have too much oil feed pressure. Are you using a restrictor?

What size is your feed line? 3AN or bigger. I used a 4AN and ended up needing a restrictor.

it is a REAL garret turbo. bought it brand new from camp1320. and my feed line is -3an. i did end up cutting my drain line a lil bit more, and it is still leaking out the center section a lil bit. i also doubt i'm getting too much oil. my oil pressure gauge reads 50psi at WOT

Problems of oil pressure over powering the seals are evident in a frequent smoking problem.. anytime oil exceeds the 65-70psi and smoking arises put a needle valve or bypass in.

^ 50psi is up there for feed pressure. I belive I've read that the turbo only really needs about 10psi of oil feed pressure to survive.

So the turbo is a brand new garrett that came in a garrett box and all? If so I would call garrett and ask them what they recommend (dont' tell them you're having a problem. Just ask what they recommend) Then do what they recommend, and if you still have problems pull the warranty card (of course telling them you only did exactly what you were told by them)

from what i hear, 10psi is normal at IDLE. and that is what my psi is when it's idling, but wat WOT, it's at 50
