sometimes buying used stuff on the internet is just a plain gamble. i mean i do it all the time. but you never know what your going to get till it gets there. you never know if its actualy going to get there. and you never know what condition its going to be in till it gets there. and the price depends on the supply. if theres a high demand and things are selling like hot cakes sometimes you have to pay alittle more.

Yeah, it looks like you spent a little much on some of the parts but thats how you learn, on my first setup I had a t-25 dsm I paid $98 on it after shipping. it was in perfect condition for being used, replace it with a brand new turbonetics t3/t4 $900 cus I wanted bigger, also on the injectors, I paid $50 for dsm 450's and $10 for the resistor box at a local salvage yard, What i'm trying to say is look around and you will find the deals, and the mony you save can go towards fuel mgnt, gauges or a 6-pac, whatever!!

 

Looks like you got most of the parts now.So your going to run a DSM T25,VX/HF mani,DSM 450's and a frount mount?Sounds like a good plan so far.

Im going to tap my oil pan this weekend, and run my oil lines. I bought plugs for the lines, so i can install them before turbo. Anyway, anyone know exactally where to tap pan at. I have heard the windage from the crank can cause issues.

Also, purchased some 2" inch rubber intercooler hose. Its friggin thick stuff, (150psi tank truck hose) flexible (but not enuf to kink), and hopefully will work nicely. Ikno its ghetto, but thats what makes it more fun. We'll see what happens. If it doesn't work, I havn't lost much.

 

Ok, Got my oil lines in... Im now one step closer to a turbo'd car.

Oil return, and feed lines:


So far nothing leaks, (whew) and car runs normal.

Getting that pan off is a bitch... but tapping it was easy. I put a washer on the outside, and a nut on inside, and smothered the whole thing w/ jbweld.

Oil return line back into pan: (jbweld is just a precaution, should seal anyway)



Oil feed line:


t'd off pressure sensor behind block, above oil fiter:


ghetto intercooler hose: (it'll work!!!)


HF manifold with o2 plug drilled for EGT probe:


random brass fittings:


gauges installed: (had to return a/f, shipping a new one out)


DIY fuel pressure gauge:


drilled out this brass plug, threaded with a brass 90' and screwed $15 dollar pressure gauge in:


as you can see, I tried to cut an notch and remove with a screwriver. Turns out its NOT threaded. So I had to drill, and tap.

 

Wow, you really jumped the gun on a lot of things. Next time slow the ---- down and think and shop around before you go buying everything.

ikno... im gonna sell alot of the leftover, and I already unlaoded the first turbo... so we'll see.

 

A dsm t25 on 8psi has no need for a front mount, not even close. You went from a small turbo and a sidemount, to an even smaller one and bigger intercooler. Like everyone else said. Just slow the heck down and get a plan put in place.
