do you have any plans for a heat shield on the turbo or a cold air/forced air intake? for 700 you might need it, but then again you got nitrous to keep things cool as well

had a decent set back

So car started (did I show the video here?) and all was good... until it leaked oil.

So I had to pull the head to fix the oil leak - no problem.

Well we realized the front timing cover needed to be milled down about 0.004" or so - milled it down, got home, was anxious, slapped it on.

Had that ---- installed all the way back up to the head! Then I went to put the primary timing chain gear on the exhaust cam - didn't reach. Chain wasn't on proper down below! It had been on right when I started the car but when I pulled that timing cover I messed it up and had it going around this one pin rather than over the pin - made it all wrong. SO, off comes the timing cover with the head still on. The manual says you can do this. What they didn't mention was that the oil pan needs to come off. So I got the cover out and replaced it with the chain fixed. Well tapping it back in SERIOUSLY jacked up my MLS headgasket and oil pan gasket. Managed to fix the HG, and didn't realize the oil pan gasket was jacked until i was looking close. It actually sheered the oil pan gasket open (its a closed loop gasket that was now no longer a loop lol). So yeah, pretty pissed about that! So now I think the headgasket is "ok" and should seal - if not, I'll order another HG. Thing is they're custom and $300 and take a week. I am waiting on an oil pan gasket to throw this thing back together.
