Gutted :-( I guess that's the risk you take paving the way for others to follow with your oversized studs. Better luck this time!

Looks like a great build. The o2 bungs and head studs are just part of working on cars. Nothing ever goes perfectly.

Thanks guys yeah its part of it all - no big deal I've been through worse haha. If after all this crazy custom ---- all I have is that stud holes were to narrow and my O2 plugs were frozen.... I think that's pretty good!

Just curious.. how do the studs serve to lubricate the engine? Like how would you make enough clearance for oil to pass through and still have thread for the stud to connect with? Maybe I'm a :1 ? but I'm confused. This build is glorious though.

The threading is in the block - thats not where the oil passes. The oil passes in the head. So picture a stud sticking up out of the block - its threaded into the block 1" or so, then the head, which slips over the stud, is bored instead of being 0.50" its 0.56" or so, so oil can go around the stud up in the head portion.

Should be, the ZF boxes are stout.
