Fine me another 2.5L engine with 800+ hp that uses long runners and a small chamber for their intake manifolds. Gonna be hard pressed. Long runners are designed for low-mid range tq. Dont be supprised if you find your limit at your manifold. If i were you id ask around, but i believe to make the numbers your looking for your gonna have to go 1 off custom with shorter runners and alot bigger chamber.

noob shmoob its always good to have people throw out downsides to other peoples project that way if something doesnt work or it gives them an idea that it could possibly be wrong, they can fix it before they get it all together and have it not work properly. I personally havent seen to many 2.5l bmw engines making over 600hp, only a couple 500, and they werent using the 2.5l engines they were using the 3.2. But then again i havent done as much research as you because im not doing the build. I mean i bet all the pro. e36 racecars that are out there have that kinda power, its just not well documented which sucks. Everything looks nice on your build and i hope your mani works out for ya. good luck.

Thanks for the comments on the intercooler piping - if you're interested it is called wrinkle black and is powder coated. I also did the throttle body - I'll be posting pictures tonight.
Sorry for not updating - had an issue. Cranked the car over w/ no spark plugs and got oil pressure, then learned that 2 of the 14 head stud holes are used as oil passages in the BMW designed head. Great. I drilled them out from 10mm to 1/2", but I only went maybe 0.520" and that, to me, didn't seam like enough for oil to flow around the studs. So, head came off
Drilled the head out, buttoned it back up, and its back to where it was two weeks ago. Just about ready to start it but have to get an intake temp sensor and I think my O2 bung plugs are warped - they will not come out! I am going to take an impact gun to them tomorrow - if that doesn't work I'll be welding another on
Here are some pics I snapped today

I also drilled the bumper out for air flow to the lower part of the radiator and intercooler:

I have two more holes to add to that, but my hole saw ---- the bed.
