right... even 18gauge stainless is thich enough in 321 - and when you find the tee's and 90's they are typicaly in 304l or 316l sched 40 or 10 - i use 10, they weigh less- I use 321 u-bends in 16gauge - sometimes you can find tee's and elbows in 11 gauge tubular stainless 304 - but it is very expensive almost twice the price as the stainless cast sched 40 - elbows are like $14.00 and the tee's were $30.00 - it polishes up nice though.

most people recomend schedule 40, which in a 1.5" diameter pipe has a wall thickness of .145"... i dont know how that equates to guage

if you want to save money you can use schedule 10 that has a wall thickness of .109" not quite as strong, but should be good enough..
