So you have to actually take the plunge in the *** and go out and buy one before you can give advice? I've heard enough and seen enough evidence to know they are ---- without having to buy one. Yes, I have one of those piles of ---- on my car right now, so yes I can talk ---- about them. I'm going to brace the turbo and hope and pray my wastegate doesn't fall off this piece of ----. At least I can say I didn't pay for mine. :P

If you're going to go buy one of those pieces of ----, take it straight to the machine shop and get the pateing surfaces milled. Head flange, turbo flnage and wastegate flange. They're all warped.

Ok.

Are there any other manifolds out there equivalent to the shitbird tubular for around the same price, that would be an improvement over my hf/adapter plate mani?

BMC has some for around $150. I know he had a couple listed on Egay not too long ago. For $150 you can't go wrong with that manifold.

u could always buy some schedule 40 tubing from www.mcmaster.com and a flange from BMC for about 75 bones. find a friend w/ a Mig welder and a bandsaw. have him/her teach you how to weld, and make a log for real cheap and learn something.

The BMC mani's look like ***, no offense.

Unless I go for a tubular / external wastegate'd manifold I may as well stick with the HF mani.
