HX30 scrolls are about as wide across as a .60 trim T3. Like most Holset, the overall length from compressor inlet to turbine outlet is probably an inch or two longer than the equivalent Garrett, but it's still a pretty petite package.

HX30 kinda sorta reminds me of the bigger power 16, 18, 20x Mitsufeces turbos that have the tiny housings on them.

so my real question is, will the hx30 fall on its face up top or not have any trouble with my b16? im kind of confused about the actual size of this one compared to that huge *** hx35

it depends on what size turbine housing it has, even a 9cm one will plenty. you'll need a built block before you max out a 12 or 16cm housing

From what Viren told me, expect 7 psi by 3500 rpm for 9 cm turbine. I have one, but have never run it on anything. From looking at the compressor wheel, it is very wide across, but is not very tall around the outer diameter. Still quite large, compared to a .60 T3 that is 50-ish hp shy of the HX30. Expect the power to improve as you hit 10+ psi, the typical Holset deal.

HX30 is usually found on stationary diesel generators.

whether you get an H1C, HY-30/35 or a HX-30/35, the most important size you need to worry about is teh turbine. unless you plan on throwing rods thru your block, you arent gonna run out of air flow on any of those. you need to look at turbines, a 9cm would prob be best but a 12cm would wok but have longer spool.

Yes, it's a 3LD, that'S what the tag reads! However, it's FAR from being from a Porsche!!! It comes from an industrial diesel V6, 300HP snow blower. This turbo did not have dual bearings like garrett'S it was one single 1" long bearing in the middle and even if I isntalled it brand new, I blew it in a few weeks. I would not recommend it.
