I would wager the difference between a log and a properly designed twin-scroll manifold would be in and around 250-400rpm difference in boost threshold. Not something to sneeze at, that's for sure.

These things look huge....

I also came across these in the one DSM forum and was looking into using on on my b16 but i couldnt really find that much info on them... Also ive found a few on ebay.. but they dont all look the same

Like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW the wastegate placement looks different to that of the one you have. Is there some other way of actually guaging the size of the turbo other than that of the serial number?

i think the manifold above will get teh job done once modified. its already got 1+4 & 2+3 paired together, so its just getting the runners spacing to match a honda head. there is also an O2 bung on the front of the flange that i could port out for a wastegate tube to be welded on.

Hehe, that's crafty.

Pivot the split T3 flange a couple degrees one way or the other would more or less fit the turbo, too.

oh so basically the same thing just tweaked a lil bit.....

now are you planning on running the internal gate or using an external one?

and if you are running the internal one, anyone know the stock boost setting on the internal gate?

not sure how it compares to the Hx's but I did use a NEW Holset 3Ld (looks like a rather small twin scroll full t4 turbo) on a H22A and It was too small IMO. IT was boosting all of a sudden before 3000 RPM and I blew it in a few weeks because it was overheating so much at high RPMS. I'm sure it was going off the chart. MAybe on a B series though, it would have been perfect. Look how thin this compressor was....
