Had a turbo all packed and ready to ship to them............then i talked to their custo service dept. for like 2 mins and was like :l.
Unpacked the fucker, bought a genuine garrett rebuild kit and had it balanced. 2 days downtime, and has been beaten to a piss every day for almost a year now, no leaks
had to buy a set of beefy snapring pliers so the whole bs cost me around $175 O0

---- a balance. Just mark where the wheel lines up on the shaft.

Theres a guy Ive sent a few turbos to In Puerto Rico that does good work. Hes just really hard to get ahold of. He has a huge speed shop, has a sonic cleaning machine or something like that.

The turbo on my car was rebuilt by the G-Pop shop. The guy before me had this done but its doesnt smoke, and makes boost fine. Time will tell I guess.

From what I gather, turbine shafts/wheels are already balanced from the factory, but they have to be straightened before they can be ran again and have a prayer of working.

sure they are balanced from the factory, but when you bolt on a compressor wheel to a turbine wheel/shaft, you need to balance the whole rotating assembly, at least thats what I understand.

The car is still down (waiting for new oil lines) I have been paying insurance on it for 2 months that I didnt need to now, spent money on inlet flange, new hardware, and now new oil lines. The money for the new stuff is not such a big deal to me its just that I have not been able to drive this thing yet this summer thats pissing me off real bad all because of a turbo that didnt even last 5,000 miles.

Hi everyone, I'm into VWs. I have been trying to match a DSM twin system. I was the guy asking about the roller bearings center section. Well long story short, I wanted to match my T-25 turbins of .48. Blast contacted me saying for 150.00 he would sell me a set of turbine housing .48. I PayPal his price, it took three weeks to receive defective parts. Both housings were damaged not from shiping but bad machining. One stud was double cross threaded. The other one had a stripped hole, yeah this is no BS. I thought that he was just a turbo rebuilder and had a extra set of .48s, I needed the small size for my 2.9 twin applicatoin. If he has no business morals, bad mouth him, I have no problem telling the truth about his dishonesty. And lastly, he did not even try to package the shippment, stuff just got bang around.
Check out this site; http://www.gpopshop.com/upgrades.html I for one don't need to put money in the hand of someone outstde of the USA, and when you have a problem they know you are out of luck. I would be willing to beat you, if we lived in the town where he did business, he would not do that.

Blaast is a hack. He rebuilt a friend of mines turbo and tried to stuff NPT fitting in a metric hole, we then sent him pictures of his fitting along with pictures of the right one and he still tried to claim his would work.

It's a backyard operation run by a frenchman, nothing more.

Every time you order a turbo from him, you'll get a different combo of parts used to assemble it because it's all built with used parts that have been -----d from piles of junk busted ----.

For what it costs to buy a new journal bearing turbo these days, you're almost better off doing that then wasting your time and money buying used turbos, finding out their blown and then getting raped trying to have them "rebuilt"
