I would like a compressor map for the turbo Im running, but i cannot find it anywhere. I chose the turbo soley on others experience, but I am getting the hang of plotting on maps so I would like to to where I stand.

Its a garrett TO4S 60-1 compressor. 46 trim.

Hey thanks, thats what I needed. A/R is the housing and doesnt factor in the compressor map.

Its not too small. It plots where I need it actually. Only need 500hp, and 8psi should get me there.

Moostangs are going 11's with the same turbo I have.

Here is what I came up with. Based on these factors and after my calculations

Target horsepower-500hp
max rpm-6000
VE= 85%
Displacement=318ci
Intake Manifold temp=160 degree

55 pounds of airflow needed per minute.
Manifold absoloute pressure required= 26 psi .-14.7 atmospheric pressure= (~11psi needed)

I also plotted that at 6000rpm. Where more realistically Ill be 5200rpm MAX

Oh, and BTW. Someone correct me if it looks like Im doing something wrong. Im self teaching myself this stuff.

I was looking at your map (I have a similar turbo for my is300) and noticed your plot is on the far edge of the efficiency island. I guess you won't be there all of the time with that turbo as you advised it would be at the top of the rev range. I would'nt want to run it on what appears to be the least efficient area of the map. Just my 2 cents, hope that helps.

Yeah that helps. I think I should be fine for what I'm doing though for now. Nice Street Truck on 7psi or so. I went 13.2 with 8psi on the blower non inter cooled. So I think I can get significantly lower with this setup.

Im not sure if that is the correct map for my turbo charger either. Like I said I chose it on others experience with the exact same turbo on the same C.I. engines, and they made nice straight power bands with them. (just nothing over 500hp.)

Tell me about it, I can't find an actual map of the 87 buick grand national turbo either but i have heard its similar to a To4E.
