how much boost lag on adjusted wastegate
hey i have a 14b turbo freshly rebuilt and i looked up some post and some dudes were talking about how you can extend the arm on the wastegate to lower boost. a couple of dudes said you get boost lag since the wastegate will be slightly open like a boost leak. im on a buget so getting a external wastegate will have to wait for right now
i wandering how much boost lag will it be ? i have a h23 so my power range is from 4000- 5500 rpm
will i notice that much lag?

Re: how much boost lag on adjusted wastegate
Ya, Leave as is. I always said I was gonna start with 5psi or so but never happened, engine saw 8psi from day one and has only seen more since and It's still as good as the first day.
Especially with a 14b on a H23. Kinda a small turbo, you never gonna get enough effeciency from that turbo on an h23 to really worry about it, unless you completely suck at life, tuning and don't know how to treat your motor!

14b on an H23? Blasphemy!!!!!!!!
Get a t3/t4 and run 12psi. Enjoy.
Seriously, save up for a new manifold, turbo and ex. WG. H23 has the potential to be a BEAST. I wouldnt doubt that thing will choke that 14b.
