Default I have to much lag.

Lately I have been considering a little bit smaller turbo for my car. I love the power that my car has, I just dont like having to rev the **** out of it to go anywhere. I am running a GM-4 on a b18b at 10psi. I am getting full boost at 4500-5000 rpms. Is there anything I can do besides a bit smaller turbo so I wont have so much lag? Would I be able to swap a smaller (.60 A/R?) t3 compessor on the gm4 turbine? Somewhat new to turbo cars, so dont flame me to hardcore.

Pardon my ignorance, what is so special about b16 heads? Better flow?

Vtec heads flow better and when they engage the work better with Boost...

By putting the b16 head you can rev your car higher. I'm not sure what the rev limit is on a b16, i'm guessing 8200-8500 rpm

The higher rev really doesn't have anything to do with reducing lag... it's the fact that the vtec head (as mentioned before) has better flow than the ls (unfortunately for me).

Yep. The Borg is notorious for being too large for the B18B (although it's perfect for B18C'S)

A garrett t3 60 trim or t3/t04 would be a much better choice. If using the 0.48 a-r turbine, it will spool up before 3000RPM.

I can trade a borg for such garrett t3 or t3-t4 for a small difference.
