Default how do i know when my wastegate is broken

yes yes i know stupid question i guess..... i have the ssauto wastegate, i guess i have the blue spring of 14.7 psi cuz thats what the car is running at. love the boost but i know it wont last. i need to know ASAP how to test the wastegate either to get a new spring with a lower psi rating or get another wastegate.

how to test it?

you're running 1 bar on stock internals? what's your setup?

Just swap the spring out for a smaller one.

yeah i need to test it ASAP, im running 1 bar whit stock everything, well i just did like 3-4 pulls to make sure it wasnt a spike but im not driving the car till i know how to test the wastegate, or till my new spring comes. all i dont want is to gt another spring and find out the wastegate is not opening and im getting full boost or something like that

Stock EVERYTHING?

i bet your motor is toast already.

A good way of seeing if the wastegate isn't opening is looking at the boost gauge!

No is not toasted, i have engine management, cold plugs regapped and 93 octane, i think thats why the engine is still i one piece. thats WHY i need to know ASAP; and i have eyes, thats how i figured out the boost im getting. please someone answer my question. how can i make sure the wastegate is ok or broken... i gotta be sure before ordering another spring. better be sure than sorry...

take it apart and check the diaphram for rips/tears

first of all,thank you very much. second; i already took it apart, everything looks right, the only things is that i lost one of the screws because it was so freking hot when i did it that i busrn my arm and lost the screw, but i think thats not that big of a deal, like im not getting 15 psi because of that. other than that if everything was fine like i saw... am i looking at changing the spring??
