Hi people,

I just finished fitting my turbo and I'm having trouble with my idle.

When I first start the car in the mornings, the engine revs don't go up to 1500 rpm, and then drop back down to 800rpm once the car is warmed up (like how it did in stock form before the turbo install)

Instead at start up the engine revs is about 800rpm and when warmed up goes to about 1200rpm, sometimes even 1500rpm.

All this happened after the turbo was installed, it never happened when it was stock. Is my idle controller stuffed or am I missing something.

Do you have any leaks after your air flow meter or at your MAP sensor? Are there any leaks at the intake manifold at all? I have no idea!

I've checked all the vacuum hoses and there doesn't seem to be any leaks.

I'm sure there's no leaks, but I will check again.

what engine and turbo are you running? Are you using the AFC?

I'm from Australia and the engine I believe is the D16Y4 1.6L SOHC non-Vtec. The turbo I am running is a TD04 from a WRX.
