the CEL comes on after catback install 2 1/2" cb, scanner says air/fuel monitoring. What could it be?

What were you running before? just an open DP? What fuel management are you using also?

 

You might need an O2 simulator? I'm not sure how that works, check www.thermal99.com he has a nice writeup on his tech section about it.

 

i was dumb for 1/2 hour and connected the 2 color wires wrong on the new O2 sensor. my a/f gauge doesn't work and i read the instruction with the O2 sensor.

 

sounded like user error. so problem solved?

 

I'm gonna connect the wires correctly this afternoon. I'll post the results. The car does idle smoother even with the new o2 sensor connected on wrong.

 

I connected the o2 sensor correctly and the a/f gauge works once again. now i get a air/fuel metering error code.
i erased the code from the computer with the obd2 scanner and no more CEL for now anyways. anyone know what the air/fuel mettering error code is?
