Default Wastegate spike from Hell

Well, I've been boosting 4-5psi lately (also wasn't getting full boost till around 4500) and I just had to do something about that. So I drilled another hole in the wastegate arm so It would effectivly shorten it. Took it out for a drive and hit 10psi and it blows a charge pipe. Fix it then try it again and I hit 10psi quickly at around 3000 rpm's and it even breaks the tires loose. And then the boost settles down at 5psi , wtf?
I've heard of boost spikes but damn, a 5psi drop. that sucks.
So I guess my question is how do I fix it?
T-25 internal gate.

Could this be cause I have no gaskets between the turbo and adapter plate and mani?

Thanks ahead.

no gaskets = exhaust leak = turbo lag = you mess with wastegate = major boost spike = get gaskets! lol

koo, anyone know a good place to get these gaskets for cheap online. Went to autozone and they don't know what a turbo to manifold gasket is, went to advanced and they're conviced that the hf has normal headers like the si. Sheesh

just get the normal honda header gasket for your car and then go to mitsubishi and get the turbo to manifold gasket (if its the DSM)... might even want to spray some of those copper headgasket spray on the gasket to make a better seal. Hope this helps.

yeah its the mitsu t-25. Hopefully this cures the spiking, then I gotta fix the overheating, and now my clutch is slipping, fun, fun, fun.
