Default Going Turbo... Few questions

*searched for a few weeks now for info*

joining the Turbo Civic club. just bought a d16a6 (Si) and a td05h 14b turbo. i have a few questions for you guys so i can get it up and running (goal is 20-25psi -- yes, i realize how much forging i need to do to the block -- its already being taken care of )

1.) Recommended intercoolers for a 1991 Civic DX (sedan). Brand, size (bolt on, little or no modification to a stock bumper -- willing to do some modification to make it fit), etc. Like i said above, motor will be a6 (Si motor), with a td05h 14b turbo, if that matters at all.

2.) where can i get a copy of UberEdit, or TurboEdit (whatever their called?)? Which do you recommend? Others? Ease of use?

Any other tips for a turbo n00b would be greatly appreciated. I'm doing this myself, so any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks!

READ THE FAQS

Turboedit would be easiest to stay in the right obd

and a 14b will never boost up to 20-25 psi. DSM guys don't even run them over 18psi. Any higher would be stupid because it's WAY out of the efficiency of the turbo

well at first i'll be pushing 7-15, just because i cant afford to forge the block enough for 20-25 psi at the moment. thats just the goal for the boost in the near future.

and i did search, and just finished reading the FAQ. might be new to the posting here, but i'm not new to the board. i'm at regular at honda-tech.

not a stupid forum n00b, dont treat me like one.

You may not be a noob else were but you asked noob questions, If you search you can find MANY posts on which is the best intercooler for you year (I would say CCA JRC 5" for least mods, I have a 6" that required a little trimming)

And in the faq's and post you would find that Turboedit allows you to stay with OBD0 BUT if you want to run Uberdata Converting to OBDI is possibly for a few hundred bucks.

Oh ya, an a6 wont last too long at 15psi!

</yourself>

I hope you go outside today, on your way to the goat pasture do ---- one of your "girlfriends" and a bear climbs out of a tree and eats you. You're such a ------- moron I don't know if I could possibly understand wtf is goign on in your head. 7-15 is a huge ------- range. most peole will list a range of 6-7 or 7-8, that's a 1 psi difference which could account for wastegate fluctuation, you listed an 8psi difference which is more than 100% of the lower value, you obviously have no ------- idea what you're talking about. 20-25psi on that small of a turbo is just plain retarded. 20-25psi on a t3 is stupid and you want to do that on a smaller turbo?
in short, if that bear doesn't get you consider playing hopscotch on the highway or simply hanging yourself since I'm pretty sure you're too dumb to figure out how to work a gun to put a bullet in your head.

i bvelieve every word, you all know better than i do -- thats why i came here for help.

read my posts again.

1) the turbo i have is a temporary turbo, its a start, not the one i'm planning on running 20-25psi with.
2) the range is there because i havent decided what exactly i want to run yet. i'll leaning more towards the 13-15psi range (better?). Wastegate will be tial 40mm w/ 15psi spring

thanks for the info CSaddict, thats what i've been looking for.. something constructive thats actually answering my question.
