I use a thing called a "krankvent" between my pcv valve and the intake mani. Google it. They show a 2 krankvent system, but I only use one on the pcv side, w/fresh air into the valvecover
Think of it as a heavy duty pcv valve, I think it will hold back about like 75 psi. A pcv valve will not. A pcv valve is really made to slam shut in the event of "backfiring" thru the intake.
I don't even have to use a catch can at all with my set up. (7psi)
You are definately pressurizing the crankcase imo.
It's that small silver canlike thing right after the pcv valve, on the other side of the charge pipe, you can see the "fresh air in" side of the circuit:

I don't have much experience with Honda's but I agree, you are pressurizing the crankcase. My setup is much different but what I had was a breather that was attached to the intake just before the throttle body that was under a vacuum most of the time which lead into the crankcase and then to the intake plenum. When I went to boost this line allowed the boost to pressurize the crankcase and I eventually popped out my dipstick and had an oil geyser under the hood. All I had to do is disconnect that line and let it draw in ambient air through a filter. I allows some air to bypass the MAF but so far it hasn't been a problem. Any pressure that builds up in the crankcase will just vent out the same line.

Just sharing my experience...of course this probably has absolutely nothing to do with your problem. FYI.

Don't use the pcv setup, take a line off the valve cover and one off the back of the block and make sure you have a breather on the catch can itself. No breather causes alot of problems.
