Default Fire ring not completely flush with WG, is this ok?

Like the title says, the fire ring doesn't look flush with the wg... but after add the gasket, will this be okay? I would say the the gap is like 1-2 mm.

My used Tial looks exactly like that. It was used for 1500 miles... I'd assume its fine

I believe it'll push up properly when you clamp it all down. It has to fight against the Valve which is being forced down by the wg springs.

Ok... good. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't gonna have a leak or something.

When I first got my wastegate I was worried about the same thing. When the wastegate isn't on the manifold the spring is completely extended. The valve seal/fire ring needs to be compressed for an airtight seal and to compress the spring slightly.
