whats the best for turbo?

 

shorter gears are always better no matter what you do.

 

not always
nobody likes shifting to 5th gear in a 5 gear tranny
if u got 400 whp its nice to have a slightly slower tranny so u dont change gears like a cocain addict

 

i got a dx tranny on my turbo setup i like it but they are kind of long

 

yeah maybe but i'm pretty sure he doesn't have 400hp sitting under his hood if he is trying to figure out what tranny is better .
and i have an ex tranny and i think i have only been into 5th maybe twice.

ha, i have a CX in a car right now. Ouch.

 

i had a dx, now have an ex. i LOVE my ex. its definitely not too short for a turbo app IMO, unless you're gonna be pushing over like 400hp (which disqualifies most of us d-series guys )
im also running a spec stage 3 clutch and a fidanza 8lb flywheel on it. u have no idea how much quicker it'll build boost and rev. no idea whatsoever. its like night and day.
