Yes the fitting would be facing down. But what im saying is that the center catridge of the turbo has to be facing downward.

but all it would do is keep the bearings extra lubricated, and as long as the car is running it should be fineright , plus its not like it is completely horizontal, its at a slope, so the oil would still run down.

the only issue would be when the car is off, but its not like extra lubing is going to hurt the bearings?

as long as the oil dont back up to the turbo. It will cause the oil to burn and cause smoke. had that happened to me before. The oil has to return smoothly to the oil pan. Just take the extra time to make it right. Even though you having a hard time clocking the turbo. Take the turbo off. It makes things so much easier. If you cant do take it to a mechanic.

Whats the issue with the car is off?

yea i already took the turbo off. and as you can see from the time all these posts were made it has been much longer than an extra minute. i was gonna take it to a mechanic tomorrow, but i just wanted to throw this idea out there as a last resort.

where could i get a 90 degree AN fitting without havin to order it and wait for it? maybe ill hook it up like that real quick tomorrow and see what its like, take some pics and see what you guys think, and if not, ill jsut take it to a mechanic and get it rotated. cuz there would be know what the oil would go back in the turbo with the 90 degree AN fitting, and the oil drain and oil feed are sloped enough to where there would be know way for the oil to go back up.

maybe ill try that first tomorrow.

Split the turbo before trying to rotate it.
The turbo on the table is a much better idea than trying to do it while in the car.

YOU CANNOT JUST USE A 90 DEGREE FITTING, THE POINT IS NOT TO HAVE THE HOSE POINTING DOWN, IT'S SO THAT THE DAMN OIL FLOWS VERTICALLY NOT HORIZONTALLY. CLOCK THE MOTHER ------- TURBO ALREADY. 90 DEGREE FITTING WILL DO ---- FOR YOU AND THEN WE WILL HAVE TO READ POSTS ABOUT WHY YOUR TURBO IS BURNING OIL AND YOU BITCHING YOU BLEW THE SEALS

I would say no. YOu have to get that housing clocked. Mine was a little too horizontal and I got smoke on light thottles, say taking off in first. I fixed my drain and no more smoke. You need that thing too face down. End of discusion!
