Yes, i agree, you have to be realistic.

neither of the the super 60 or the t3 60 trim ( which I am 99% sure is what you actually have) are able of 300 WHP efficiently.
THe flow charts clearly show that these compressors will BARELY make 300 CRANK HP MAX.
250 WHP is the MAXIMUM you can expect from the 60 trim compressor efficiently.
Why do I keep saying "efficiently" ?? Because a clown will always jump in with a dyno chart of around 300 WHP on a 60 trim T3 but it doesn't mean that turbo is appropriate or lasted over 1-2 hours of use.

so your 300 WHP goal is too enthusisatic by at least 50 WHP.
see by yourself:
T3 60....http://www.bsmotor.com/turbo/t3-60.gif
barely better, T3 super 60...http://www.bsmotor.com/turbo/t3-s60.gif

However, the good news is your t3 0.63 a/r turbine is well able of 300 WHP and all you need to do is get a larger compressor that is able to push around 350 crank HP with a good efficiency. What's a good efficiency? I would say, a MINIMUM of 70%.

So for 350 crank HP, i would suggest to upgrade your t3 with either:

a T04B 54 (T5/6) or 63 (V) trim..........http://www.blaastperformance.com/maps/v-trim-map.jpg
or T04E 46 trim.......http://www.blaastperformance.com/maps/t04e46-map.jpg

it's not because i am the one taking the time to advise that HMT user on his project that he necessarily has to have the work done by me.

yea Blaast isn't he linking and say you need this buy this he is simply laying down some facts and backing it up with compressor maps...

I am running a T3.60/.63 on my LS and was hoping for 300 but had sense realized i'd be happy with 280 since the DSM 450s and T3 wouldn't allow much more efficiently

Blaast do you do upgrades like if i sent you my T3 could you swap on a T4 wheel, housing and backing plate w/o a rebuild if the turbo was in good shape? Do you have the compnents or what if i sourced them you can pm me but i think the op would like the info too, thanks

sorry guys,
As i always say, you can cut the corners short at many places on a budget minded HMT project but not on the turbo.

Performing such T04 compressor upgrade is a job just as extensive as a rebuild. All the same steps are involved. Except that i don'T reassemble it with the same parts.

Shaft will need straightening and polishing, housings and shroud will certainly deserve sandblast and polish and of course, top notch balancing is mandatory for a good reliability.

So it will cost a preventive rebuild + the T04 components.
BTW I do accept 60 trim compressors as trade-in though.
Do your customer homework by shopping elsewhere and then come back to me.
