Drive the car but make sure the boost guage is hooked up so u can monitor your boost and see if it goes higher then needed. My car wont make boost untill i drive the car. oh and how do you know the wastegate is not stuck open? i would deff. suggest driving it and slowly build boost untill the wastegate opens if you have the engine management for it and is ready for 8 psi dont drive it w/o engine management.

oh and as for the BOV you have to set it according to your car/turbo setup i would start soft and tighten it untill you hear compressor surge then back it off a hair. You have to drive it to do this also. Drive, listen, adjust drive, listen, adjust ect...

Usually it needs to be under a load, aka driving the car before it starts boosting and for ---- to start happening. Since your only pushing 8psi I would just leave the bov cause your not really pushing a whole lot of air. If you start to hear the bov while building boost then you need to crank it down some more. If nothing then just leave it. Paypal is hndphilemon@tds.net

get a dx head and ecu like 100 bux from the junkyard, or find a buddy most people end up throwing a dx head away. (d15b7). the d15b8 and d15b7 are the same motor only difference is the b8 has an 8 valve head and the d15b7 has a 16 valve head. it is a strait forward swap and can be done by a noob in a day. d15b8=70hp d15b7=104hp. its all in the head cheap 30hp bump

and which way should the check valves be set .

and last thing so with 8psi should i b ableto hear my type-rs BOV ? and ur saying start off with soft and then tighten till u hear compressionsearge and the back off a bit, now does anybody have a diagram on how to hook up the

wastegae and bov and boost controlle a i hard they all hook up together ?? and m turbo has alitte nippole onthe housing should i block that ?

ok take a vacuum line and run it from your wastegate to your turbo's compressor nipple.
take another vacuum line and run it from your bov to your Fuel Pressure Regulator ( you will have to get a vacuum T and but it in the line that goes from the IM to you FPR and then hook you bov line to that ).
The boost controller you should hook up when u get to the point where everything is running and working good at the wastegate setting ( you said was 8 psi )
Then when it is all doing well and your engine is tuned for it then you take the ( assuming manual boost controller) and hook it up between the line the goes from your compressor housing to your wastegate, just cut the line and put in in between and start off with the boost contoller setting all the way down and slowly turn it up untill you reach the desired boost level.
As for check valves i dont think you need to put them in unless your running over 10psi but im not 100% sure. if you have everything done correctly and your getting a Check Engine Light when you hit full boost then you need check valves otherwise don't worry about installing them. Oh and if you get the CEL then just turn off the car and re-start it and it should go away untill you hit full boost again. all the the cel will do is put your ecu into limp mode.

Yes your BOV should make noise when you let off of the throttle. It might need to be tightened up, just keep tightening untill you hear the noise then when u first hear compressor surge back it off a hair so you dont have any surge.

Anyway how did you make out with he first info are you making boost yet??
Also if you are not when driving it then check the charge pipes for leaks because thats 99% of the reason there isnt boost when driving and make sure you didnt blow your vacuum line for the boost guage out i have dont that before and u can tell when you see the guage at zero and the engine is running.

SIR first ok THANKYOU

and i ran the turbo for 1 minute with no OIL just to check for air leaks and ihave NO AIR LEAKS !

and yes my turbo IHI RHB5 is set at 8psi, and the wastegate nippole and the compressor cousing nippole are right next to each other so does it matterif i just put a littel line or should i make it longer ?

and last i have my BOV hooked up to the intake port for the PC VALVE, is that ok ? and the pc valve i have hooked up to a catch can right ?
