Default Bypass valve

Ok.The turbo that I'm using has a bypass valve integrated into the turbo itself. See the following pics: https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...;threadid=1041

Well I'm not going to use the Bypass valve, I'm going to use a BOV (for sound of course). Can I just use a Vaccum plug just plug the vaccum source for the bypass valve? Thanx

yeah, if you don't run vaccum to it, it'll never open. Just make sure that it won't leak under high boost. (don't know if that'll flow that much psi for this to be a problem)

Can you take it off and just cap the hole with a plate?

Yeah, but if I can just plug, and forget about it that would be less of a hassle.

This is a turbo from a Mexican Dodge Stratus 97-99- pretty rare to see one here. Anyways, this is the turbo that will be used on the upgrade for the SRT-4 that Dodge will release next year. This is part of the upgrade that will make 289whp for the SRT-4 with 100 octane.

Mopar performance, TurboXS and a few others make a block off plate for it to add an aftermarket BOV to the system. I saw one on Ebay recently.
