Bypass valve
Ok.The turbo that I'm using has a bypass valve integrated into the turbo itself. See the following pics: https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...;threadid=1041
Well I'm not going to use the Bypass valve, I'm going to use a BOV (for sound of course). Can I just use a Vaccum plug just plug the vaccum source for the bypass valve? Thanx ;D |
Re:Bypass valve
Just look at reg22 pic, its the same turbo, thanx

Re:Bypass valve
Anybody??

Re:Bypass valve
yeah, if you don't run vaccum to it, it'll never open. Just make sure that it won't leak under high boost. (don't know if that'll flow that much psi for this to be a problem)

Re:Bypass valve
where does that thing dump to when it opens?...i dont see another hole
|
Re:Bypass valve
Probably back into the air inlet.

Re:Bypass valve
Thanx guys ;) Anyway the bypass valve does dump the pressure in the air inlet.

Re:Bypass valve
Can you take it off and just cap the hole with a plate?
|
Re:Bypass valve
Yeah, but if I can just plug, and forget about it that would be less of a hassle.

Mopar performance, TurboXS and a few others make a block off plate for it to add an aftermarket BOV to the system. I saw one on Ebay recently. |
