Default Broken bolts in exhaust housing T3

Can you use easy outs etc to get the broken off bolts in the exhaust housing out, or do you have to drill/tap?

its most likely rusted so drill and tap would be the easiest but I've heard of other ways but I forget :P

I tried and the easy out never works. Just use a sharp center punch first so the drill bit doesn't walk. You will need an 8x1.25 metric tap.

take it to a shop and have it EDM'd out is your last resort if you are having trouble drilling it out.

Just don't use a torch on them. I melted one inside a housing trying to torch it out and went through 4 snap on titanium drill bits using an air drill trying to bore it out again. I just ended up buying a new housing on ebay. If I had to do it all over again, I'd soak it in PB Blaster for a few hours then, heat up the area around it and use one of the craftsman screw extractors or a reverse drill bit. Good Luck.
