Yes, I have seen SM, function7 and others, They're all good, appropriately sized restrictors. Hey, it'S just a restrictor!! How much are you willing to spend for a 1/16" hole :P

You can just weld one of the inlet fittings shut and then drill it with a 1/16" bit
or, if you're as lazy as I am, you can stop welding when there's just a tiny 1/16" hole remaining because drilling in a weld with a 1/16" bit can be a nightmare..

depends ... but if your asking this question no offense your oil feed and or drain are improper .. you prolly dont have a restrictor and you prolly have a snake'n uphill return or your return is to low on the pan .. this has been covered just do a search .. if not pm me and ill try to explain better ..

actually the turbo can be leaky even if the shaft 100% is tight.
That happens when it is rebuilt with new bearings but the old turbine piston ringland has some wear. In this case, I would either replace the shaft or machine that ringland larger and use an oversize piston ring. But fix your oil lines before blaming the turbo.

well no offense taken i do have a ristrictor my return is to low but it does have a slight dip in it and i think that is the problem im going to buy some hydrylic line tomorow to replace my return line. i jsut ran outside and took a pic of it. excuse the oil that is on it. the line isnt exactly a great fit lol. one more reason im changing the line tommorow. tell me if you think it has to much of a bend in it? its less then i thought it was but this oughta tell me if i need a rebuild or not.

yes is hard to point out but it looks like you line go's upward a bit it should only go downward however it does look all that bad but the picture might be make it look better than it is .. also your fitting maybe to low on the pan .. also thighten your draing fitting and try to see if its coming from there, it may also be the draing fitting gasket

I am having the exact same problem! I was able to boost at really low RPM's and now it takes forever to even reach boost just like Tom. The car smokes up WALLS of smoke at idle and while I am driving. My return line looks like his and my feed line is a dash 3. The other day I got on the car really hard for a few seconds threw one of my gears and everything seemed fine but but now it smokes out of control. Do you think I blew the turbo in my case? The car was boosting great at low RPM's but it smoked a little, but it was enough that I could handle it... Now the car smokes uncontrollably and it doesn't boost until like 4K. Also I am running an open wastegate downpipe and I cleaned the turbo and started the car and watched the wastegate opening and you can see oil start to come out. Any ideas?

yes it's a nice oil drain curve but WAIT a minute...
what's the diameter of the hole in that blue oil pan fitting?

I could bet this thing is far from 1/2"....
