Agreed. The pistons/rings and rods should be upgraded first.
People sleeve H/F-series becuase they can't run forged aluminum pistons with the FRM sleeves. Remember they are a closed deck motor so the sleeves are strong but leave no room to upgrade the pistons

YOU ARE WRONG... DONT POST UNLESS YOU KNOW THE FACTS

H22 is the only one with weak sleaves (b20 and h23 included)

f22 can handle boost like no other stock honda block.. i would recoment pistons and rods though...
What the ---- is your problem kid? I SAID people resleeve the H-series motors to get rid of the FRM sleeves that are in it. In that string of quotes it says nothing about the F22 sleeves being weak. So yell again what I am wrong about?

I don't understand what the argument is about, we both are saying the same thing that his sleeves are fine. I said nothing about the h22 being the strongest block Honda ever made

Holy quotes batman!

Either way you guys lost me. :P I'm not an F series guy, but it sounds like boosting the stock internals is safe. I have heard ---- about detonation killing those poor things and raping ringlands.

yup, u heard right Dr. boost. i blew my engine last week. i took the engine apart and found 2 crack pistons and i snap ring. i only boosted the car for 2 months. i think it crack because of my cheap fuel mangemnet. i was using 10:1 FMU, rc 370 injectors, and a V-afc. The engine act weire after i was racing the G35 on the freeway.anyways, i just replace the engine yeterday 1/13/04. i just bought another accord last week. i'm gonna boost the one i just bought. and i just bought a H23 Type S complete engine from japan. it should be here in 3 weeks. i never herad of a H23 type S before, but the guy told me that they do make it in Japan.
