D16z6 block posting and block guard, i know i know "they suck"
I am running 10 pounds on my d16z6 and on the side plan to build a motor for more boost.
Now if i was to post the block, and use a block gaurd, i know some people have good luck and some have bad, but my buddy has been using one for 3,000 miles on his and hes ok. Should i be ok with this and some upgraded forged rods and pistons as well.

If you can afford sleeves do it. I don't care if people push 400 hp, its all in the tune but it will fail at some point and besides you can run crazy *** boost like 20psi+ with no worries. I see that block filling seems to also be working but if you can get sleeves do it.

well 17 psi outta a t4/to4b on stock sleeves for 6 months and about 10k miles id say youll be ok.
it made 253 whp and woulda made more if i wasnt breakin up at 5300 like i did. d sleeves are pretty beefy stock.

ok now this is weird...im literaly like 15 minutes away from drilling holes in my block to posting it. i was under the impression that it was a good thing and that any support for the cylinders is a good thing? ive got pistons and rods and a built z6 head, im shooting for 300 to 340 hp. should i do it or not i mean it really cant hurt anything right? well at least thats my thought, hotrex is there any truth to what you are saying about creating a focal point for stress? that really doesnt make sense to me especially if you get the cylinders honed after posting (wich im doing) someone clear this up for me please!
