"Crushed" 1st gen BOV is referring to one that has been, well crushed. You put it in a vice and tighten it down till you get the vacuum line nipple as close to the base as possible without hitting or bending it.

What crushing does is that it compresses the spring/diaphram more so you can run more boost without leaking through the BOV.

It takes 2 minutes to crush a 1st gen BOV and then you can run over ~18psi of boost without the worry of leaking.

I've got the APEXi Dual-Chamber BOV and I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for sound. This just sounds like a real bad boost leak.

my greddy type S sounds like a freaking whisle from hell. One dude heard it down the block and followed me to burgerking thinking I had a TT Supra.. , But I got a Single Turbo Sol.

turboxs rfl sounds real good with high boost, not that bad with low boost, just not as loud (it might have more to do with how much volume its dumping off than the boost amount)
