Re: 98 eclipse gst question
you ever think it isnt the car but the mechanics fault. i have seen alot of the things on her and to me they al llook like ---- and most of them probley dont work to well. i would be ashamed if my car looked like half this ----. i mean seriously any car thats held together with duct tape and bubble gum isnt very reliable plus i dont think you would be allowed on any real track to run your car. unless it is hillbilly night at the street races i dont think most of these cars would stand up to any kind of real boost.

The maf reads the air that passes through it at the start of the intake cycle. When it reads a different amount at the end of the intake cycle it sends that info to your pcm and your car ends up running like ***.
You need a gm maf and a gm maf translator in order to vent properly w/o running into problems.

GSX two piston calipers with good pads and ebc/power slot rotors would have gotten the job done.
Headers?

Everyone in this thread told you that it would work, it's just not working like it should, because you're venting off air that's been accounted for by the computer, which is going to run the car rich, and eventually ---- plugs/ excessive carbon/ use more fuel.
It's just ------- stupid to do that to a car using a MAF, and even more retarded to do it simply for that "PSHHHHT" noise.
I really hope you don't think you're in the right here.

yeah it not really hard to put a bov on a dsm so i dont think it is the mechanics fault for them running rich i think it is the owners fault for being a *** and thinking its cool to have your car run rich just so everybody can think he is cool
