bout to buy a 92 eclipse gst something wrong with it

i was at the auctions yesterday and theres this 92 gst with 106k miles at no reserve which means i could just pick it up the lot for a couple of bill. I took it for a spin and the car starts right up, runs great and has absoulutly no smoke but stalls whenever its ideling. I think that the idel adjust screw just needs fukin with or sombody fucked up the vacuem hoses anyone got any ideas

well if you mean it stalls when you come to a stop, it might have the bov setup not to recirculate, which will make it stall sometimes, no biggie

Probably Idle Speed Screw.... Theyre notorious for turning by themselves... maybe its closed all the way...

More than likely crxrx7 is right, Idle air control valves go bad on DSMs all the time. and will make the car just die when you come to a stop, or a bouning idle. They are very spendy at the dealer, and they are a updated part #.

some of the bouncing idle is from the maf mod (removing the honeycombs)

either the tb is really dirty and could use a cleaing...or its probably the isc sensor. take the wire off of the sensor thats located on the throttle body and see if it stalls. it should idle higher...but if it dont stall thats your prob.
