Default 92 b17a boost ?'s

Hey everyone! I just recently boosted my 92 GSR. It's only running 5 lbs. of boost right now. Does anyone know how much boost it could handle? The compression it like 9, so would 8 psi work? Also, it has a 150,000 miles on it. Still runs great and everything. Thanks for you help!

I would think that engine could run 8-9psi if tuned properly, wouldn't hurt to check the compression just so you have an idea of what you got, good luck, bump for another Turbo DA

psi irrelevant. What power level are you looking for, ow efficient is your setup?

10lbs would be safe if tuned properly......my buddy ran his stock b16a on 10lbs for 2 years before he rebuild the engine for high boost.

Think JD implied it, but what kind of turbo and motor setup you are running plays a huge part in that. 5psi on a GT55 is a lot different from 5psi on a 14b.
