92 b17a boost ?'s
 

Hey everyone! I just recently boosted my 92 GSR. It's only running 5 lbs. of boost right now. Does anyone know how much boost it could handle? The compression it like 9:7, so would 8 psi work? Also, it has a 150,000 miles on it. Still runs great and everything. Thanks for you help!

I would think that engine could run 8-9psi if tuned properly, wouldn't hurt to check the compression just so you have an idea of what you got, good luck, bump for another Turbo DA ;)

psi irrelevant. What power level are you looking for, ow efficient is your setup?

10lbs would be safe if tuned properly......my buddy ran his stock b16a on 10lbs for 2 years before he rebuild the engine for high boost.

Think JD implied it, but what kind of turbo and motor setup you are running plays a huge part in that. 5psi on a GT55 is a lot different from 5psi on a 14b.
