lol its funny that you mention that even though she is very patient and loving and understands that this is my current passionate hobby; one day while I was bored at work (about 6 months ago) I decided to try to list about what I am into it. Well I found that today and thought to myself OMG I have to destroy this even I can't stand to look at it.

But the 3.5 rebuild with the forged pistons is happening a little sooner than expected because something happened to the bottom end of the 3.2 when I took it out to the track. The manifold plenum is done though and the work looks great I should get a lot more plenum volume out of this so I am excited for it. That and going with a 9.0:1 compression ratio (down from 9.6:1) on the pistons with a .5mm overbore and more boost should make for an interesting setup and put me closer to the goal this year of 500whp. I also should mention that I do a lot of related side work to help compensate for a lot of the cost like retrofitting headlights with projectors, chipping ECU's and selling parts I pull.

Ive been reading the emails from my subscription to this and Ive been inspired. My buddy works at acura and gets free fixable motors and nick nacks. And just last week he found our new project 08 Tl type S motor that bottomed out crack the Oil Pan and automatically shut off. Honda said it was trash hehehe. So hats off to all the hard work and keep it up man.

Thank you, she's in a bit of a holding pattern for the moment till the pistons are done but the next dyno tune should be promising, Nice having friends with connections, I know I could not have gotten this far without them!

Just a little update pistons should be done by the end of the month and I received the bottom plate for the intake manifold MUCH more plenum volume since that pic the divider on the plenum where the TB mounts was also cut out.

A cople more build updates,

Since I accidentally bored right through one of the cylider head ports I have decided to go with the TII head. in the end this is better anyway as it has a sturdier valvetrain. But it does sit a little wider (3mm) than the RL heads due to a slight change in the angle in which they sit. So to do a full hybrid setup (3.5 block and Type II heads) you need to widen the manifold here are the pics of it below. And oh what a wonderful day today was as far as getting some fun stuff

YES, my pistons, thrust washers and rod bearings arrived! Since Toga seems to have stopped production on the main bearings I will pick up a set of OEM ones at the local dealer on Friday.

Here's a pic of my error while grinding the rough shape of the RL head. I am still going to do it but now I know my limits lol.

No worries, for all practical purposes I am new too it is a longitudinal front wheel drive that is one of the reasons I really like it. I live in a snowy climate so FWD is almost a necessity, and I am not a fan of the transverse? mounted engine style (no offense to the majority of the forum here)
