Sorry guys had not been on in a few no dynos or track time yet I was working out some bugs and she ended up with some huge yet to be known issue. Seems like a BHG or a crack iin the block. It was not turbo related as I was not boosting at the time but I will keep you informed. right now I am putting together a 3.2 Type II engine to swap in while I go back through the 3.5 to see what the issues are.

love the work, nice manifolds, very different. maybe silly ? but is that front or rear wheel drive as in oz the legend is fwd and the motor sits east=west not north=south. has it been running yet? any power output?

Sorry for not keeping you guys updated on this but she suffered a BHG shortly after the last build, somewhat expected it. There's a TT in Korea that has been experiencing the same thing as it approached 400whp. Aware of this I had been working with a couple people in the development and testing of a custom set of head gaskets to try out as my end goal is to get well beyond 400 wheel horse power. I don't want to (or have the immediate ability to) take my block anywhere to be o-ringed so I HMT styled it. I am likely to get flamed for this lol.

I am going to be testing a set of MLS gaskets that are made of stainless steel but I added a twist to it from some old school info about alternatives to o-ringing. I lined the blocks piston rings with welding wire and used some high temp gasket sealer assist with the seal and compensate for the crushed diameter of the weld wire.

Being that all this happened on the 3.5 block and there is the possibility that there was more that went wrong for now I am going to use the 3.2 block while building up the 3.5 over time (if possible) because I need to tear it down and see if there was more than meets the eye in the failure. I also stripped a head stud thread so o-ringing may come later when I get that fixed.

Now if that was not enough, I was experiencing a lot of electrical issues I think the car had them from before I had it, so every now and then if I disturbed the wiring near the ECU or the wire harness it would throw CEL's and what not as if sources were not getting power. So I am now swapping everything to it's twin which I was driving as my daily.

Since weight reduction is a key in going faster I figured I put her on another diet and get a little closer to a serious performance look at the same time with a set of these Misano style seats.

Sorry guys I have been MIA for a while, I am in the process of swapping everything over to my other (identical) coupe and doing an auto/manual swap. Unfortunately the HG idea failed as far as oil getting into the coolant so I will likely try just the SS gaskets and if they leak I will go either Felpro or OEM again and hope they last longer this go around.
