sorry for the lack of updates the car has been an absolute nightmare in terms of wanting to throw issues at me. There's a few small stupid things that need to be fixed like an exhaust bolt on the drivers side turbo. A leak in both wastegates, and most recently a rod knock causing it to pull timing (EMS not in yet) but in the midst of all this I have gotten some test work done removed the VIS, drove nice actually, and started messing around with gutting and re-working a Type I manifold. And the heads are in the process of getting a 3 angle valve grind, and resurfacing. I had also done some minor porting on them here are a few pics. Hopefully I will get them on the standby engine before the current engine gives out.

Since many of you here are likely not familiar with the different manifolds available for our car so I will post them and the work that went into the manifold

This is what gave me the initial idea I was working on a supercharger project that got scrapped but had cut apart an extra Type I manifold and decided to see what was under the two large bolts so I unscrewed them and soon after began tearing into it. There was a lot of dead room in there and I wanted shorter runners than the TI and more plenum volume without suffering the torque that you lose with the Type II manifold (manifold in the 3rd on the right) Don't get me wrong for top end the TII (Type II) manifold is great, but after ruining the 3.5 I wanted some torque back.

Alright, the heads are done and back. I know these aren't the one's your waiting for but this is taking some time. On a side note I am gaining the understanding that the pistons on these engines become unreliable over about 400whp. I will address that later though.

well done sir. It's nice to see something other than a Civic with an internetz manifold and a T25 hanging off it. You certainly have patience and fab skills.

Thank you and thank you. And Josh you are right there's not much aftermarket for these so alot of the fabbing and add on's have to be developed or are really pricey. It's been a slow build lately but I am dying to get back to it once I take care of a few other projects. I did get all the springs back on the heads and now debating whether to put the heads on the engine that is in it now or the one that will likely be going in around late Spring. I am hoping to save up for some pistons because I want around 400whp available at any given time.

Ok it has been a long road to get to where I am at which feels like less than last year long story short I pulled the 3.5 apart and found that I had broken a couple pistons in its last run with that engine around 12-14psi. Since then I had gotten it put back together and had been running the 3.2 with the modified intake manifold and the heads pictured above, yesterday I was finally able to get the funds to fall in line with Cortney Green's schedule and have him tune it (I was amazed at his speed and knowledge of tuning with the EMS, MAD PROPS). We had a few bumps in the road and it was an all day affair but at the end of the day she had her first tune with the EMS. The downside was that we had to stop a around 9psi to maintain a conservative tune on a stock MAP sensor (long story). The next goal is to make a few small changes, such as add another fan, swap the thermostat, tighten down the vacuum lines, run an in car test of the meth injection setup (not used during this session) and fix a boost leak then re-tune. Sorry I had been away for so long life got busy for a bit lol. but here are some updated pics. The numbers were on a Mustang Dyno so they to are a little less than what it would have been on a dynojet so that coupled with the stock MAP sensor and the boost leak I am not unhappy with the results at this point.

Some updates since last post

changed the center console a bit for a better shot of the gauges and to add an Innovate wideband gauge

added a smaller steering wheel that fit the build with a momo adapter kit, I have a quick release hub as well but I am undecided about it at the moment.

Picked up a set of Sarona fenders but they will not go on till the Sarona body kit does likely next year at this point I am poor now lol.

Pics of the meth injection (tubing was upgraded after this pic to black tuning with a 200+psi burst rating). I also ugraded the pump to a Coolmisting 200psi pump tied to a Hobbs pressure switch to activate a (to be) alcohol tuned map in the EMS.
