Yes, you can get a T3/T4 with a .48 and a .52 but the .52 is really hard to find...if you get a turbo put together for you, I would suggest a .48 stage 3 turbine, it is the same size as a regular .48 but the fins are angled differently so it will spool slower that a regular .48 but it will spool quicker that a .63...(the higher the "stage" number is on a turbine the more exhaust it lets by, therefore spooling slower) it lets you get more specific about where you get spool up

I would guess around 3200-3500, but this is a GUESS...I've only boosted B series...the manifold you use makes a difference too...

the whole story is i finally got my bov on my car(83 volvo turbo)and was driving it around town and got in a little race with a mustang then went on with my mission to go to the car wash to spray my engine to look for the source of an oil leak.so i sprayed the engine(not thinking)and the turbo was hot and when the water hit it cracked adn then made an annoying pre-boost whistle.so i went to the junk yard and picked up the new(.48 turbine/ .42 compressor) turbo and im figuring out wether to rebuild it or not so thats why i was wondering if this was a good turbo to go to thanks

so....if you got a turbo with a smaller housing for ....say an ls. would the smaller housing cause a pressure limit? like it would yield itself to a certain psi and wouldnt be able to climb any higher? what would a good housing be for an ls shooting for full boost at around 3000-3500? tanks

It doesn't work that way...you can make LOTS of PSI with just about any turbo...what really matters is the amount of air it can move. A compressor is not rated by how much PSI it can make, it is rated in horsepower. The more air a compressor can move, the more power it can produce. I.E. if you have a little tiny compress running 25 psi, yes it can pressurize the air, but if it can't maintain the flow of air, it has reached it maximum power. Look around more (google) I learned all I know from searching around the net. I don't know it all by any means, but I really have a good grasp on turbos compared to how I was when I started my whole project.
