well the compressor housing's the same size but the exhaust side is smaller in your new one - meaning faster spool up, which is a real good thing. i think you're better off with this new one.

I would like full spool around 3k because my car isnt a drag car all the time and its nice to have full boost early on because you get a nice powerband of RPM's to play with. Granted that it doesnt give you as much of a kick in the *** like the T3/T4. Overall T3/T4 will give you more power high in the RPM's but not really that wonderful driving all day in boost lag.

Just depends on what you want and what application you are using it for. For example, if you are auto-xing, T3/T4 are probably the worst to go with because you'll never really fully use the potential of it unless there is a straight away. This is why most people with small displacement engines opt for the T25, T28, even the DSM's... These turbos hit full boost early on and are useful for the rpms that the car is mostly in during the races.

Just depends... =P~

if he listed it correctly, that means the exhaust housings are the same, the exhaust size comes first when listing the sizes, but i think he got it backwards since .48 is a very common garrett exhaust housing, if that's the case, and your other turbo was .63 exhaust and not compressor, then you'll notice a lot quicker spool and about the same power.

think of it like a big *** box fan compaired to a little handle held fan...and you're trying to move the fins by blowing on them..

well i have a nissan t3 .63/.60 and full boost (10psi)doesn't happen til 4900rpms in 2nd gear, this is in a 99'si. i wouldn't mind if full boost came in at 3000-3500 rpm. i wonder if t3/t4s' come with .48-.52 exhaust housings. that would rock cause it would push even more air then my current t3 but full boost would come in earlier.
